Camping and Glamping
Casa Corsi Elba is a small organic farm with camping and glamping accommodation and beautiful views of the island. Anyone looking to be immersed in nature yet close to Portoferraio’s most famous beaches, will enjoy staying here. Ready for a relaxing holiday?
Situated on the slopes of Monte Moncione, between Santa Lucia and San Martino it is very close to the Grande Traversata Elbana (GTE), the famous dorsal, which connects the extremities of the island along the mountain ridges.
We are only 10 minutes drive from Portoferraio: from the SP24 to Procchio, turn left into Valcarene following the sign "Soggiorno Militare Valcarene". Google Maps is set to take you to the bottom of the dirt road (1km) that climbs up rather steeply to the property, 150 meters above sea level.
Our Camping and Glamping site is open from April to October; it can accomodate a maximum of 24 guests, giving each one the space and privacy to enjoy a peaceful holiday.
There are 6 pitches in total, all have ample space, sea view and electricity. Communal areas include a wi-fi zone and a small kitchen with a fridge/freezer and a two burner gas stove.
The two glamping lodges are built on wooden platforms. They have a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and dining area on the ground floor. The second bedroom is on the mezzanine level and has three single beds. Each lodge can sleep a maximum of 5 people.
Last but not least there’s our yurt in the woods. It's a round tent, originally from Mongolia and it's also built on a wooden platform. It measures 5 meters in diameter and can sleep 2 people. The communal kitchen and bathrooms building is nearby.
There are many activities to do on the island depending on the time of year. Seaside in the summer of course but if your passion is walking, you'll find May, early June and September ideal for exploring all those wonderful paths which you can access directly from Casa Corsi. In Autumn the woods are full of porcini mushrooms, we can organise walks and cooking classes on request.
